Day1

Ben Lutz:

We started this trip with a freaking bang. It was almost as if we were prophesying the next 3 weeks because we left on a whim. After seeing 'slumdog millionaire' and watching a less than stellar boxing match on HBO I said to Ben, 'hey, you just wanna leave at nine?' He was down and we immediately started mapping out our trip. After deciding that it was probably going to be more trouble than it was worth we decided to take a southern route instead of a northern route being that the Pac NW if currently being bombarded with rain, snow, and ice. Currently we are stuck inside of Tulsa with the computer charging blues again. I'll need to make this quick as something is wrong with our adapter or electricity or something. You'll have to ask Ben to explain because I don't understand whats going on. Anyway, we stayed at a swanky motel 6 last night. We were able to drive until 7:30 a.m. central time. However, it was not non stop driving because we did make a stop in St. Louis to take some photos with the gateway arch. We also spied the new Busch Stadium from afar. Other than that the trip has been pretty mundane. Lets just say that a lot of 'would you rather,' has been played and a lot of arguing over music has been done. All in all it’s a pretty successful trip thus far. Now we're making haste with the western winds towards Phoenix where, tomorrow, we will check out the Cubs spring training (hopefully) and watch the UK game (definitely)! We'll check back in tomorrow so you all know that we aren’t dead.
